4th Time’s a Charm
Danielle Hope Wolfe
For this nonfiction book design, we wanted to situate the cover in a real world experience. Once fleck spoke with the author about ideas for a wedding inspired cover, we were instantly inspired. We modelled the design after popular flat lay photos done by wedding stationery designers and wedding photographers. The stationery was then designed digitally and printed out. Once crafted, we then photographed it overhead with fresh floral and specialty envelopes. This gives a final look of bright elegance to appeal to young women. The invites create a sense of optimism and excitement that nods to a fresh start, beautifully capturing Danielle’s words.
The photography of the florals used on the cover is also complimented by a floral photograph to accompany the first paragraph of each chapter. This creates an airy and romantic layout to keep readers engaged after the questions that follow each chapter. You can purchase this book on Amazon. We wanted readers to be in a headspace of love and calm while reading this book. In this non fiction book design, we also decided to include a place for the readers to take notes in each chapter. This book is meant to allow readers to pick up at any point and work through some deep work on their marriage, so we wanted to make it as easy as possible to follow along. A big airy spacing for writing is meant to be friendly and accessible so readers are not intimidated to start on their journey to relationship success.
