Lily Collison’s son has Spastic Diplegia and in her endless research to help him harness his journey and understand the motor problems he faces, she realized there wasn’t an accessible book out there with advice for real families, so she wrote the book she needed herself! While very information heavy, this book is not overly academic. It was written for anyone to understand, to gain more power in their lives with the knowledge presented. This textbook needed to feel positive and energetic so the interior was created to be fun and incredibly easy to read, keeping readers engaged with special boxes, colours and graphics. The cover shows the type moving in a positive upward motion with bright, strong and powerful colours. All these elements work in unison to create a book that Lily’s readers need to pick-up!
